Ergon Refining, Inc. announces increase in Naphthenic Base Oil capacity

Jackson, MS – February 10, 2003 Ergon Refining, Inc. today announced that the capacity to produce Naphthenic Base Oils at its Vicksburg, Mississippi refinery has increased to 11,000 barrels per day. The increased capacity has been affected by a combination of hydrotreater efficiency improvements and changes in crude supply.

Additionally, Ergon Refining, Inc. is announcing plans to further increase hydrotreating capacity at Vicksburg. This capacity is expected to be online in the fourth quarter of 2003. This accelerated schedule will be achieved by use of processing equipment already on-hand, designed and ready for erection. Included in the new capacity will be a very-high-pressure hydrotreating unit that will produce highly saturated naphthenic technical white oil products. The new capacity will add approximately 2,500 b/d to the previously mentioned capacity.
